Resume

Marlene Hall.

Twenty years ago, after raising my family of 5 children, I found that I had more time to pursue the things that were of interest to me.

My local Community College offered a course in Reflexology, this sounded like an interesting therapy, and I knew I’d have plenty of feet to practice on, so I joined the class.

That 12 week term was just an introduction to Reflexology, but it’s what led me to a diploma with the Australian School of Reflexology in 1994.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel overseas and enjoyed Reflexology in several countries.

I promote Reflexology as a relaxation therapy, because relaxation brings about a feeling of well being, I must say ‘that I’ve experienced some very painful Reflexology sessions in some of the Asian countries’

Last year I did a term of volunteer teaching English to young adults in Cambodia, there I was a ‘millionaire’ everything was a dollar, including 15 minutes of the most excruciating Reflexology I’d ever had!

At the Hunter Community College I teach a technique called the Ingham method. This is generally accepted, as the most widely used Reflexology technique for the Western world.

Reflexology is a very gently but powerful tool, that can be used separately, or to compliment most other therapies, including conditions that are being treated by the Doctor.

At the HCC, in a six week introduction to basic Reflexology, participants will learn how to use this therapy to help friends and family relax and heal themselves.

I also have a clinic, every Tuesday, at the Belmont Neighbourhood Centre, which gives people the opportunity to experience Reflexology at a very reasonable price.
